A Pair of Arrests Following London Heathrow Irritant Spray Incident

This incident caused the partial closure of the CTA tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
